<p align="LEFT"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: small;">Once again, Beck Hanson has made waves in the music world, but this time without even recording a note. Instead of releasing an album, the renegade hard-to-categorize artist has published 20 new songs intended to be arranged and performed by his fans. Calling the project </span><span style="font-size: small;"><i>Song Reader</i></span><span style="font-size: small;">, the sheet music is an “only the essentials” representation of the new material written simply for piano and voice. All of the decisions about how to make this music come to life is left to the whim of the performers: in essence, crowdsourcing the release of the new music. New Music Raleigh, known typically as a pioneering classical music presenter, will perform all twenty songs of the </span><span style="font-size: small;"><i>Song Reader</i></span><span style="font-size: small;"> on May 7</span><sup><span style="font-size: small;">th</span></sup><span style="font-size: small;"> at Kings Barcade. It will be the first performance of the entire collection of songs in North Carolina, and the first time that all of the material will be arranged by one composer.</span></span></p>
